Re: Am I doing this right?
I know that when I mine here, I get a positive return daily based on the what is returned to me in BTC minus the cost of power, ignoring my investment in hardware. Everyone has a different view on hardware investments and ROI. Some people look at the capital investment and want a 100% return on their investment before they believe purchasing new hardware is "worth it". Others look at the residual value, often estimated by the purchase price of used miners on ebay, and calculate that into the "worth it" equation. Others just mine and hold coin so get no immediate return but rather hold for the long term.
If you can clarify your personal definition of "worth it", that would help.

Thats whats nice about this pool.. You can use your script asic to mine just about any coin even if its not script.tcrackerx wrote:Everywhere I read it seems like Scrypt Mining isn't worth it anymore is that true?
Like use your asic script to mine Ether or Bitcoin.. This is the only pool I know of that its worth mining if you have a asic script miner.
GPU miners are just not powerful enough. On those yes its not worth mining script
Re: Am I doing this right?
I'm just having regrets because a friend in 2011 was getting into mining bitch in. He got out and I can only imagine he made a killing. My thought is try to get alt coins while there cheap because who knows maybe pot coin or something will be worth something 5-10 yes from now. I just met a successful day trader in the military that got my interest to stop wasting time and start finding ways to invest. I've been okay with day trading with some training but I'm trying to expand I guess.

I paid 700 for a 1080gtx just to play a game called star citizen. I feel l could spent my money on something more productive

Scrypt mining "can" be slightly profitable at times, but you have to monitor it vigorously and shutdown when it is losing money.
For your gpu mining I would suggest this pool https://miningpoolhub.com/ and set up the multi-algo switching.

It is a good miner I put a good power supply in it and it mines on this pool at about 103Mhs pretty steady..
Selling because I bought a A4 and as soon as I get it up and running I will have to sell the A2 I don't have the space for both in my garage. I will trip circuit breakers trying to run both so my A2 has to go.
Re: Am I doing this right?
Wire in a 240 Volt outlet and change the plug on your power supplies. That will lower the amp that the miners draw.CritterDog wrote:I am will be selling a A2 Script machine for 700.00 plus about 50.00 for shipping only USA if your interested.tcrackerx wrote:I'm just having regrets because a friend in 2011 was getting into mining bitch in. Where did you buy the A4. I can't find it anywhere
