Post by Medow » Thu Oct 13, 2016 2:47 pm

Hello all:

Today i discover this great pool and i am amazed.

But I am a little confuse about too much config for using nicehash.

I am looking for the best config to use when i mine the most profitable coin and when i mine one specific coin.

Thank you.

Hi Medow,

If you want to mine a specific coin, try using password "c=[coin name]."

If you want to mine the most profitable coin, try using "h=5." That will reduce the number of work restarts sent to your miners, which NiceHash overpenalizes you for. Beginning in about 12 hours, you can use "h=5 g=off," which will also stop sending work restarts for auxiliary coins. That feature hasn't been released yet but a release is scheduled for tonight.

For anyone else reading this, it is not recommended that you use "g=" if you're not using NiceHash. "g=" reduces profitability by causing more stale merge mined stales. It is useful for NiceHash because it may reduce NiceHash's penalty by more than the lost profitability, but everyone else will lose money by using it.

Thanks for this feature, I hope it will be add soon.

Two more question if you allow me:

1) I will be paid according to your current profit ration that showing on you and I am not responsible of the price Up and Down of the coin i mined, correct?

2) If I use miningrigrental, what is the best config to use for both most profit mining and static coin mining?

Thank you very much.

1. Yes.

2. I'm not familiar with how miningrigrentals differs from NiceHash, but I would try the following settings (in order):
  • No arguments at all
  • h=5
  • h=5 g=off
The list will cause a person running a normal miner to make progressively less money as they go down the three items, but miningrigrentals may penalize you for work restarts, so try out all the options.
