Discussion of development releases of Prohashing / Requests for features
Forum rules
The Development forum is for discussion of development releases of Prohashing and for feedback on the site, requests for features, etc.

While we can't promise we will be able to implement every feature request, we will give them each due consideration and do our best with the resources and staffing we have available.

For the full list of PROHASHING forums rules, please visit https://prohashing.com/help/prohashing- ... rms-forums.

Good afternoon!
  • We are currently in a feature freeze, since we expect a lot of hashrate to join the pool at the end of the month. We've been working through issues that we expected to show up after the performance optimizations were implemented. Similar issues also came up during the previous round of optimizations in February. This morning, we tried again to release the optimized mining server, which is identical to the older version in function but runs 5x faster. The system has been running on the optimized server version for several hours now. If additional issues come up, we will revert; otherwise, this version will remain active for the next few months.
  • We also were able to make significant improvements to the block explorers last week. The biggest problem was that loading a wallet address with tens of thousands of transactions could take several minutes. Chris spent a lot of time modifying the table structure so that these queries can return in just a few seconds. Test out the block explorer for a huge dogecoin address and let him know what you think.
  • Both ccex and Bleutrade appear to be down right now for database maintenance, so many of our coins are unavailable for mining. They will be restored as soon as the exchanges return.
  • Thanks for your patience while we implemented the performance improvements. I'll be publishing a post soon about our plans to prevent 51% attacks again coin networks.

Glad to hear you're in a feature freeze. What's the reasoning behind the large increase in hashrate at the end of September?

We were asked not to disclose why. However, at the end of September, whether the hashrate comes through or not, I'll explain in detail what is or was supposed to be going on.

Maybe it's the A4 Dominator scrypt miner from Innosilicon finally coming to fruition.
