I develop the new features and perform initial testing. Chris is responsible for trying edge cases and regression testing. He's been doing that for a few days and we are 90% certified.excelerator wrote:Excited to see this new feature - what is your formal release cycle and/or do you have a estimated date?
Would be very glad to throw some Titan controllers at testing this.
Our release process is that website releases go out with relatively little review and the webserver is restarted frequently. A display issue in the website will not cost money, and the site being down for five minutes still allows mining to continue.
We aggregate mining server releases to make sure that we have many changes at once, because restarting the mining server causes some miners to switch to other pools. Reliability in mining is important, which is why this change will be delayed until we can also add in other things.
The trader code rarely changes. Some parts, like the payouts, have not been changed in two years. That code is absolutely critical that it be rock solid, because lots of money could be lost. Chris tests everything with a parallel development system that uses small amounts of real money in duplicate accounts on every exchange.
Seeing that, the answer to your question is that we want to add in two other fixes: the ability to mine Novacoins, and the new exchange Novaexchange, which lists a lot of coins that we don't currently have listed. We've almost achieved certification on the solo mining feature, and Novacoins were done last week, but Chris is still working through the Novaexchange testing. Once Chris has tested with Novaexchange, he'll inform everyone of when he will execute the release.
Hope that helps!
