Destiny 2 Reputation Bug Fixed, Bonus Weeks Incoming

Bungie has addressed a reputation bug that disproportionately benefited Titans and Hunters in Destiny 2: Echoes: Act 1. The studio has confirmed that the issue has been resolved and is introducing "reputation bonus weeks" for all classes as compensation.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape's follow-up, Echoes, launched just a week after the main expansion. This new episode brought Guardians back to Nessus to investigate a powerful entity known as an Echo. While players enjoyed the new story missions, weapons, gear, and Exotics, a reputation bug emerged that significantly impacted Warlocks. Unlike Titans and Hunters, Warlocks were earning reputation at the intended rate, making progression slower.

On July 9, Bungie announced the bug fix and confirmed that all three classes will now earn reputation at the same pace in core activities like Crucible, Vanguard Ops, and Gambit. To compensate for the disparity, the studio will implement reputation bonus weeks across all core activities, providing increased reputation gains for all players. Specific details about the timing of these bonus weeks have not been released yet.

While some players expressed disappointment over the bug fix, as it reversed an unintended advantage, the majority of the community appears positive about the upcoming reputation bonus weeks. These events will accelerate progression, making it easier for players to obtain rewards from challenging activities like Grandmaster Nightfalls.
