On Friday, a capacitor blew, causing a surge. The system operated as intended and caused the battery backup system to shut down briefly to prevent further damage. Chris removed the busted power supply. Each server has two power supplies so that there is a backup, and the backup supply successfully took over.
The block data for ETC was corrupted during the shutdown, and Chris had to redownload it. In the meantime, people received overpayments due to the corrupted data. We needed to adjust the payouts, and people were paid out what they should have earned during that time.
