Not sure if this is a pool bug or what....
An observation:
When I was watching my live worker status on webgui for pool, it didnt seem to match up quite right w/ the block changes on my bfgminer for my Titan. My miner setting is #skipcbcheck & password - d=8192
For the past couple hours the "main coin" has been novacoin.
I would watch the live worker status change from novacoin to an altcoin (for low diff, high profit short amount of mining) and my bfgminer instantly had a block change to the altcoin as indicated by the diff change to the altcoin.
The weird thing that happens is when the live worker status switches back from the altcoin to novacoin ... my bfgminer, about half the time, stays mining the altcoin for minutes sometimes before it switches back to novacoin! The other half of the time it switches back to novacoin instantly.
Its like my worker is not being properly switched back? half the time?... I dont know...

Hmmm - that might indicate that work restarts aren't being properly sent to your miner. I'll have Chris investigate the issue and get back to you soon.

I am looking into work restarts right now.
Re: Not sure if this is a pool bug or what....
BTW, just paid attention to this issue again I initially posted about in OP.
The Titan just did it again. Worker webgui went from a low diff coin to LTC, my Titan stayed on the low diff coin for a good 5 mins and never even switched to ltc before getting another low diff coin...... Then after that lowdiff coin the webgui switched to LTC and my Titan did go to LTC this time.

Sometimes workers will switch between two low difficulty coins in succession; it's not always the case that the worker will go to LTC. Are you saying that it never received a work restart request at all and the shares were stale, or just that it never was assigned litecoins?
Right now, the pool is set so that it will never assign a coin with a difficulty lower than your intended difficulty.

Re: Not sure if this is a pool bug or what....
Ok, let me try explaining this again...
So, webgui live worker shows lower diff coin being mined. My Titan shows appropriate diff for that coin in bfgminer(meaning its mining that coin).
Then, webgui will switch live worker to LTC(obviously higher diff coin). But my Titan in bfgminer is still mining the same lower diff coin it was previously.
5 mins go by and there is no change, live worker still showing LTC as what should be being mined. My Titan is still mining the lower diff coin. ---- thats whats wrong.
The thing that happened after that is the webgui switched off LTC to a different low difficulty coin ... then my Titan switched fine to that lower difficulty coin. Eventually the Webgui switched LTC from that coin then the titan finally switched back to LTC....
So, sometimes, the command to switch from whatever lower diff coin is being mined, to whatever more stable higher diff coin there is at the time(right now LTC) .... completely goes ignored.
Maybe its a live worker status bug, maybe its a coin hopping bug ... I dont know...

Is there a way to clear the Notification events on the main page? Not a priority but seems like you should be able to get rid of them. I have a list from almost 2 months ago. Thanks

Thanks for the tip. We'll add a button to clear these rows to the list of features to add.CritterDog wrote:Is there a way to clear the Notification events on the main page? Not a priority but seems like you should be able to get rid of them. I have a list from almost 2 months ago. Thanks
Are you satisfied with the work restarts issue now? Or, do we need to look into that problem any further?

I don't see anything missing in particular. Is there a specific box I should be looking at?CritterDog wrote:The work re-starts seemed good last night.. I only just ran it yesterday but seemed ok..
