How to increase revenue? (rig with 3x2080ti+1080)
hi mining experts
I am new in the forum and my gaming pc now running with 3x2080ti and one gtx1080
looking at my prohashing-dashboard my problem/question is why I only get about 70% revenue (=10,2$/day) of what my small rig should do compared to whattomine.com (estimation of 14,8$/day) , although i get 100% of the expected hashrate in gminer (about198mh/s).
How to increase revenue? would be happy for good advice/hints
In the share details i find an orphan rate of about 23,5% and pool fee is 1,99%.
Should I use more password arguements??? like these: --pass a=ethash,c=ethereum,m=pplns,h=128,e=difficulty,d=1 ???
other problem: in gminer the gtx1080 gets about 23,6mh/s on ethash. hot to get this up???
With mt=1-6 (example: --mt 3)? Do i have to adress the kernel of the 1080?
my Rig: Gpu1=1080 Gpu2=2080ti Gpu3=2080ti Gpu3=2080ti
--devices 0 1 2 3 --mt 2 0 0 0 ???(how to adress the 1080? )
atm i use the following phrases in mine_eth.bat:
miner.exe --algo ethash --server eu.prohashing.com:3339 --user heremyname --pass l=41,n=GamingPC,a=ethash,c=ethereum,m=pplns
pause
held/advice/hints ... appreciated thanks for reading

Hi! Were you trying to post this question on Youtube comments also? I kept getting emails with a question in them, but when I go to look under the videos, I can't find any comments to respond to!forum_hektor wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 5:28 pm hi mining experts

hey ! yes you are right , sherlock holmes in the house
i spamed/spamt this question three times under prohashing videos cause i am testing the system since one month with poor results and couldnt find good answers. only managed to figure out the overvclocking and undervolting.

So weird. I still can't find them. I did some searching, and Youtube may be removing messages as spam. Looking into how to correct this. I'm glad you migrated over to the forums. This is a great place to find an answer to this question.forum_hektor wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 1:34 am hey ! yes you are right , sherlock holmes in the house

Get eth enlargement pill and run it, you will see an improvement on your 1080s. Mine run at about 35.
However you may want to verify your temps. If you have these in a normal case you are likely going to get some heat throttling due to the close proximity. I turned my old gaming PC into a miner but I couldnt run 3 cards as the middle one would throttle from heat. So I bought a mining rack.

Adding to Alynn tip, you should also look at installing MSI Afterburner or EVGA'a PrecisionX1 to adjust the core and memory clocks as well as power.
You can usually drop the power to 80%, the core clock to -200 and the memory clock to +1000. These are basic guidelines. Every GPU is different and even same model GPU's can be different. You can do some Googling to fine what other have been able to use for your model.
You want to have the highest hashrate with the lowest power that is stable. Dropping the power will drop the temp and ETH is memory hungry vs core clock which is why you lower the core clock an up the memory clock.
I have read that putting you best GPU first has some advantages as the DAG gets loaded to the first card. I have never tested that myself.
That I=41 parameter seems like and strange amount of memory.
You should bench each GPU by itself and see where the sweet spot is using Afterburner or Precision. Will take a little time but in the end you will have a much more profitable and stable rig that should grind away 24/7.
Running pplns will also mean profits are not consistent so if they are down one day don't feel the need to change settings. It's just the nature of the beast. Switch to fpps if you want consistently.
Good Luck

Depending on the miner. Each card is loaded with a DAG with my miner. And as far as I knew that always has to be the case. If you are running them all with one command the l= argument should be the smallest ram size of the cards running on that command.

thanks for tipps, but i also did try running the pill, before starting and then while running the mine_eth.bat (gminer) but the hashrate didnt change ...
my case is open , everything is spread with cables over my table
so temps are great: maximum 60core/82mem
as i said i did the overclocking and undervolting successfully with msi afterburner:
1=1080 core-200 mem+500 23,5mhs efficeny 280
2=2080ti core-500 mem+800 58mhs efficeny 375
3=2080ti core-500 mem+800 58mhs efficeny 427
4=2080ti core-300 mem+600 56mhs efficeny 370
i dont want to increase hashrate. like i mentioned i miss 30% of the revenue ....
any further recommendations, hints ?
thanks so far!
@alynn: i will change the l-argument to 8gb as recommended

Re: How to increase revenue? (rig with 3x2080ti+1080)
Yeah that orphaned percentage is hurting your bottom line. Your rig is not getting anything for 24% of the blocks its solving.
So now it comes down to latency between block acceptance and submission of the solved block to the chain.
Has this always been the case or did it recently become an issue?
If recent, can you think of anything that changed around the same time?
I have to ask, is your rig connected wirelessly to the internet? Internet latency is usually the main causes for orphan blocks.
There are site you can use to test Internet latency and packet loss. Just Google "internet latency and packet loss test" and see what you get.

Re: How to increase revenue? (rig with 3x2080ti+1080)
Since I changed back the l-arguement back to 8gb my orphan percentage is down again to 2,5percent. Will have to watch revenue the next days and will report results. Thanks so far. My internet connection, latency and so on I tested as well is good quality, good pin, living central, no wifi, connected via cable, true pubg gamer
