I am just getting started with the mining and have several questions:
My account is Midas and I want to start GPU mining:
- I am using GUIMiner and have connected with 120 Mhash/s
1) Am I earning something?
On the earnings page I see the Live worker status (1), so I guess I have connected correctly.
But I do not see any account activity woker history or whatsoever.
2) What is the best client for Nivida GPU mining with your pool?

Re: Newbie Mining Questions
I have now tried Cudaminer with the following config: cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt:2048 -o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333 -u #### -p ##### -i 0 -l T10x20 -C 1 -H 2
I get 8300 hashes, an error about CPU validation and on your earnings page the result is the same: Some help to get started would be appreciated.

Re: Newbie Mining Questions
Hi Midas,
Thanks for joining!
GPU mining isn't very profitable in scrypt anymore, especially with Nvidia cards. ATI cards were better suited for GPU mining in its heyday. Almost any scrypt mining software can be used for GPU mining. For our ASICs, we use cgminer 3.7.2.
The earnings page has some charts that are live and some charts that are delayed. You can tell which is which by whether it says "Live [something]," rather than "Average [something]." The averages are calculated every fifteen minutes or every hour, while the live charts are updated within 20 milliseconds. Since the worker history chart is a chart that stores average data for the past month, you'll need to mine for a period of time before you start seeing data there.
Feel free to ask any more questions you might have.

Re: Newbie Mining Questions
I've never seen a GPU that can get a hashrate that high. By comparison, ATI 7970s can get 800 khash/s, and even the ASICs we have get 20 MH/s. The high hashrate indicates to me that it might not actually be hashing correctly because of a missing configuration setting.
Perhaps it is using a different algorithm, which means every share is rejected? What does scrypt:2048 mean - is the 2048 part of a configuration setting?
