I have been GPU mining as a hobby for the last little while but I think it is time to me to enter the big leagues and buy an ASIC miner! Prohashing was recommended to me, and after looking through the site it seems like an obvious choice. Especially because i want to mine a couple different kinds of coin.
My question is what miner to get? My budget is low, but could be flexible, roughly ($20 - $200)
Power in my area also isn't cheap so i don't expect to make a lot of profit off of this, but honestly as long as i break even i will be happy right now, As this is mainly an experiment for me please let me know honestly if this is far more trouble than it is worth!
Thanks a lot in advance for any help I can get!

Re: Hardware recommendations?
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what ASICs can be bought for $20-$200. I looked at ZoomHash, and they only have one type of miner for sale at the moment - $799 for 80-110 MH/s. This actually surprises me because they used to have a wide selection.
You might want to consider what Steve and I did, which was to look at eBay and shop both new and used miners. eBay has higher prices, but at least you have a guarantee that you will receive your product. On independent sellers, you never know if they will actually ship the item. For example, I saw this Terminator A2 for ~$300 from the UK, which seems reasonable. http://www.ebay.com/itm/35MH-s-Innosili ... SwUuFW05xu You should check your electricity rates to see if you will every make back its cost though.
Final word - never pre-order on a miner. I have never seen a company ship on the expected date, which means that you will never make back the high prices they charge to be the first to own the new hardware.

I bought one of the last A2s that you saw at zoomhash for 799.00.. They are sold out now.. The one I purchased was well used!! It had a bad power supply which is very common. And someone put a underpowered fan in there.. I put a 1300 watt new power supply in it and a new fan now its mining great but rarely see 110Mhs it hangs out around 104Mhs... If you want something cheap. The best script asic deal I have found is alibaba express has the 80 chip gridseeds 5.4Mhs for 80.00 out the door. 78.40 if you buy 2.. Free shipping DHL..Good company I have purchased from them 2 times no problems.Chris Sokolowski wrote:Unfortunately, I'm not sure what ASICs can be bought for $20-$200. Your budget range would suggest USB miners. You might be able to find a reseller for the miners created by jstefanop: https://archive.litecointalk.org/index. ... ic=28279.0
