profit of Antminer E3 190 MHs (or 180MHs)
Hello,
I have a question and I already do appologize if it is a stupid question or in the wrong place of this forum. ( i am from the Netherlands and a newbee in forums and in mining)
So right now we have 9 antminer L3+ ( 3 groups of three) running in 400MHz, giving an avarage of 525 MH/s , making about 10 bucks per three machines per day( i have no electricity costs), in "Proswitching/FPPS" ( they are running for about 19 days or so)
My question, i read a lot about the Antminer E3, being not profitable, or even worse, not able to mine at all because of the 4 gig DDR ram, because of the DAG size higher blockhight then the 11.400.000.
Still this great pool Prohashing ( my deepest respect for how nice the site is and it works sooooo easy and perfect, thumbs up) has in their "worker configuration" the information of the Antminer E3 astimeded profit about 16 bucks. is this still valid? is anyone here mining with Antminer E3 and what kind of profit do you make in "Proswitching/FPPS"?
I can get my hands on three Antminers E3 190MHs for aprox 1500,- euro, but if they cant do anything then that are very expensive paper weights.

You might have discovered an error in the calculations. Let me ask Vance to look into that and we'll get back to you. Thanks for pointing this out!

Re: profit of Antminer E3 190 MHs (or 180MHs)
This issue looks it's due to how miners with different DAG sizes interact.
Next week, we're going to separate ethash into two new algorithms: ethash-small, and ethash-large. People who own more capable miners will be able to mine on the ethash-large algorithm, earning more money, and those who have less capable miners will be restricted to ethash-small. Then, the calculators will be accurate.

Excellent Steve.
Cant wait to see what the ethash-small machines are doing.
Thanks for the support and keep up the good work

Hi Steve, i think it works, i see algorithm option "ethash- low memory"
great! thanks for the work.
