The mining servers are undergoing an emergency restart. The purpose of the restart is to add a quick hack to restart on every merge mined stale block, instead of continuing to mine the primary coin as we always did in the past, to avoid work restarts. Currently, the profitability of dogecoins has approached that of litecoins, and because the coin is merge-mined, its difficulty is not increasing to compensate.
The restart will take a few minutes. Because this is such a quick release, it is possible there could be some downtime if bugs are discovered, as we normally would not release untested code like this unless there was so large of a potential gain.
