Hi everyone,

Steve and I have been discussing how we can make the pool appealing to more users, and one topic that came up was the subject of currency denomination on the website.

We currently denominate all the charts and figures in dollars because it is a stable unit of value. The reasoning for denominating in dollars has been that if we denominated in Bitcoin, then as the price of bitcoin changed, then the reported prices of altcoins would be affected as well even if their absolute value did not change.

I have created a poll to gauge your opinion on what the default unit of currency should be on the website. Note that such a change has no effect on actual earnings; it only affects the display of earnings. We likely would implement an option to switch between currencies. Which unit would you be the most likely to use? Also, do you think that the default currency unit has any effect on whether new users join the pool?
