Problem discovered with equihash earnings

I discovered and some customers reported a problem with equihash earnings. The problem occurred when we changed the way that equihash difficulties are calculated, so that they are the same as other pools. Affected customers see equihash earnings being credited at a rate 1/256 times the correct rate.

We determined that no money is actually being lost, and therefore we aren't going to take emergency action that would impact miners of other algorithms. When Chris gets up around 3:00pm EST, he will be able to release a fix that does not require the mining server to be restarted. After the fix is released, he'll the multiply affected miners' earnings by 294. The extra 15% is per our policy where we promise 15% extra when we make a mistake.

There is no need for miners of any algorithm, including equihash, to take any action, and everyone can continue mining as normal. We apologize for the issue, and thanks for your patience.

yup 24hr mining nothing and wasting energy just because yall were sleeping all day and now we still have to wait till Chris wakes up from bed, good job.

Will the Equihash payback be retroactive from 5:47 pm EST when the problem was first discovered?

The earnings crediting problem has now been resolved. Chris will be updating the balances later today.

my equihash solrate is showin 256 times less than it should, only got 1 card mining at the mo but its showing 0.5 sol/s
