ASIC Multiminers like Baikal
guys,
give any thought to opening specified ports to support autoswitching between more profitable algos,
which will bring in the baikal (and other) miners that support multiple algorithms?

shut up, you are the most obnoxious user on the platform.olkah wrote:Need add antminer X3 !!!!!!!

Baikal make another miner which has the capability of mining several algos. Select Product from this link: http://www.baikalminer.com/
At this point Prohashing may not have the ability to support all the algos and I don't believe it supports many of them - only X11 & Quark - as for switching between the algo on top of the coins, that would be one for Steve / Chris / others to answer.

Re: ASIC Multiminers like Baikal
The problem is that many of these algorithms are not profitable enough for us to support. Quark is an example of one of them, actually. There are now so few coins in Quark that the entire pool's revenue is less than $20/day. If we had known that at the time, there is no way that $1/day is profitable enough for us to support Quark coins.alim wrote:Baikal make another miner which has the capability of mining several algos. Re: ASIC Multiminers like Baikal
Owning several Baikal X10s, from experience most profitable atm is myr-gro and Qubit, that will not change very soon, Quark is not overrun and does produce but in comparison to qubit and myr-gro falls short, DGB on Qubit is the driver and it needs at least 500+ghs for blocks to be found in a timely manner, most people dont run Qubit due to the much higher power consumption, hosts dont take them because of the multi algo feature, I was lucky to be able to host them for a very reasonable price and can run Qubit or any other algo.
Majority of hashrate still goes to myr-gro and skein and if you are going to work on it, I would work on myr-gro and qubit to bring in Baikal users.
