Temporary fee increase possible
Hi,
Earlier in the week, payouts were frozen for an unknown reason. After some research, Chris determined that the reason that the payouts failed is because no money remained in the exchanges, indicating a mysterious loss of 0.5 bitcoins. Chris purchased the bitcoins and paid them out.
Since then, he's performed another 10 hours of research and hasn't been able to determine the cause of the problem. The database shows the same balances as the daemons, the exchanges are correctly listed in the database, and no money is missing or was stolen. Trades are being executed at the prices being promised, and block finding luck was better than expected during those few days.
It appears that the system is overpaying customers for a reason unable to be determined. While we are normally able to offer higher payouts than many other pools, the charts at poolpicker.eu show that we paid out much more than the average payout of other pools for the last week.
If Chris can't find the problem by tonight, then we'll temporarily correct this problem by raising fees in about six hours. We wanted to post this message so that people are aware of the fee change, if it is necessary. He will determine what the exact increase necessary is later tonight. The result of the fee change will be to bring payouts back in line with earnings until we can actually determine what the cause of the discrepancy is. It's possible that a recent release caused a regression somewhere in the earnings computation algorithm. The fee will return to normal whenever he determines what caused the problem, which will be before the end of the weekend. Whenever the issue is fixed, the result is likely to be that the payouts are around the same, just that the "pool fee" is lower and the "earnings" are higher.
Feel free to post questions below. We apologize for the confusion.

Re: Temporary fee increase possible
Very well, I understand. My main concern is getting the payouts going right now. Please keep us informed.

Re: Temporary fee increase possible
I will not be increasing the fee tonight, although I am not ruling it out completely. I determined that some of our funds were being sent to the wrong Bleutrade account. I have recovered those funds.
As for the payouts, I will monitor the payouts after I wake up and ensure that everything other than the tiny change pays tomorrow. I know that there will be no delay with Bitcoin at the very least.

Re: Temporary fee increase possible
I located all of our missing funds today. The bitcoins had been transferring to the wrong address. We will definitely not be increasing fees on a temporary or permanent basis.
