Monero payout limits and fees

Post by tomtph » Wed May 09, 2018 5:22 am

Hi there, I've configured my payouts to be in monero and I did observe that the payout threshold changed a few times recently, now it sits at ~1.5 (250$) and the estimated fee for smaller payouts is not available. Can someone explain whats goging on? Will the threshold be lowered again? thanks

Unfortunately, Monero is a very expensive network, with fees approaching $2 now. We target fees for free payouts at 0.5%, so we never pay more than 10% of our profit in fees.

You can expect the thresholds on Monero to increase dramatically, likely to $1000, within a few months. If you would like smaller payouts, then it would be best to select a different coin, as you will also be charged the network fee again when you resend the money. The next most expensive network is bitcoin, with fees averaging 15 cents yesterday.
