Re: Mining scrypt with payout in LTC.
Maybe you are right about the earnings between ltcp and PH I didn't pay attention before at the ltc amount because I have my payout set at 0.25 so I get very random payments or it seems but now I have looked back on account activity I am guessing that the + earned is a 24hr amount which for me on PH seems to be 0.13 and I think I will get 0.15 on ltcp, so looks like I will switch back.
Re: Mining scrypt with payout in LTC.
Set the litecoinpool payout to be 5 litecoins, and then at the next NY USA midnight, click the pay me now button to reset what you have due.
That way both PH and LTCP have a fresh 0 balance for the new day. Then check in 24-hours the coin totals on each site for an easier comparison.
If you split your machines 2 and 2, one set may have less errors or just a better hash.
Run them for 2 days on the sites, and the reverse the 2 machines and have them run on the opposite sites.
So over a 4-day run each machine mines on each site 2 days, that way you can see if its the sites or the machines that are making any difference.
4x L3+ may not give all the same hash, each one is special, so reverse mining at the opposite site for equal amounts of time should help validate data.
Let us know what you find.
Good Luck!

Re: Mining scrypt with payout in LTC.
I've done a "start from scratch" test with a clean slate. After the same time interval, Prohashing is earning slightly more than LTC Pool.
PH: 0.013LTC versus LCP: 0.011LTC
Obviously this may vary day to day, but even with the 5% fees, PH is still ahead. Should there come a time when LTC is always the most profitable scrypt coin, then as you say, it is a "no brainer" to go with a reputable pool with lower fees.
For me, the benefit of Prohashing is that I can be paid in BitCoin directly without having the daily anxiety attack on how the pair trading costs have moved after the earnings have been transferred.

How many miners did you have on each pool at the same time?alim wrote:I've done a "start from scratch" test with a clean slate
Did you switch them to see if it was the miners or the pool?
Re: Mining scrypt with payout in LTC.
That's not what they've said before, but it could be what it is now.CSZiggy wrote:I believe all their chart is saying is if you use c=litecoin you get their LTC value from PH poolAura89 wrote:The most irritating thing about this though is that the graphics on the front page always show that it IS more profitable then just simply mining ltc....but it's never correct.
and if you omit the c= value and go autopool you would have earned that much more on the PH autopool pool.
It's not comparing how much you can get mining straight LTC at other places, only relative to here on this pool.
Re: Mining scrypt with payout in LTC.
I do not think they have ever claimed or reported what other pools they are not responsible for are making.
Which is why it is important to test a few others and see which pays out the best from time to time.

I have not done that yet - I was thinking I should do more tests when I get a chance. This would be a good one.
Right now I'm testing something else which will tie me up for several days.

Re: Mining scrypt with payout in LTC.
I have the same experience here with my two L3+ many times, stopped testing and left for litecoinpool.Aura89 wrote: I've done the test multiple times, coming back to prohashing, using it for a couple days, trying to make sure it actually is paying less, and i come to the conclusion each time that it is. Then i go back, and confirm that it is. I hope one day it'll be more profitable like before december, but currently, it's not.
The most irritating thing about this though is that the graphics on the front page always show that it IS more profitable then just simply mining ltc....but it's never correct.
Re: Mining scrypt with payout in LTC.
They have stated that it is a comparison to straight mining LTC on any pool, give or take a very small difference from other pools take.CSZiggy wrote:I do not think they have ever claimed or reported what other pools they are not responsible for are making.
