under live balances in the monero coin there is a warning to make sure i am on the correct fork.
i am still a newbie so how would i confirm if i am on the correct fork?

Your wallet you get the money in/that exchange needs to be on correct fork.
There may be FORK-A and FORK-B and this site only supports 1 of them, if your wallet/exchange is on the incorrect fork it will not be able to receive your funds for you.

my wallet is on node.moneroworld.com.
I have no other info besides that. other than posting my address. I suspect that would not be a good idea.
I guess I will continue reading and see if I can figure out which fork my wallet is on.

Others have had issues with wallets and the IDs needed on the transactions as I dont think they supported them but that feature is coming I think from what I've read.
