Please add litecoin payouts to coinbase

Post by ltc2084 » Wed Apr 11, 2018 6:50 pm

Please add Litecoin payouts to coinbase (the same way bitcoin to coinbase is currently setup.)

Is there much of a chance this will be implemented?

~~~
I tried to look in the search but the forum search says "coinbase" is too common a word and won't show results, so sorry if this has been asked before.
You can do this already
1. In COINBASE, go to TOOLs, then your preferred coin, New address (which you can label if needed).
2. In Prohashing - SETTINGS, put in the address you just created.
Works for any Coinbase coin supported in your area.
Thanks for the suggestion, but we don't see this feature as being necessary.
The reason we added bitcoin payouts for Coinbase is that the transaction fees on the bitcoin network are very high, so money can be saved by Coinbase to Coinbase transactions. With litecoins, the transaction fees are close to zero, so there's no reason for us to spend money implementing and testing the feature.
All you need to do is to obtain a deposit address for Coinbase for litecoins and enter it into our system, and that will do the same thing for a ridiculously low cost. There's no need to implement direct payouts for litecoins because it's just needlessly complicated and won't save any money.
