Solo mining charging PPS fee?

I'm solo mining DNote at the moment and per the Help tab it indicates that pool fees are 2.99% instead of the usual 4.99% however per the details on the "Selected recent shares" it shows that on under DNote when I've found a block that I'm paying 4.99% pool fees. I understand that the merge mined blocks are charged the higher 4.99% but all of my workers are set to solo and the coin I am mining still seems to be charged the higher rate.

Can someone confirm this is correct? Am I misunderstanding something or is it mistakenly charging the higher pool fee rate for PPS when I am solo mining?

when you solo mine,you are not being credited/charged fees for shares, because youre not sharing the pool hash, you only are credited for the value of found blocks, which PH wiill take their cut of once they are mature.

I understand what solo mining is. My point is that their cut per their help page should be 2.99% and per the details on the found block it is being listed as 4.99%, same as all the other merge mined earnings, and is the normal pool fee for PPS.

the fee was raised as far as i know, probably just not updated in the help documents im autoswitching at 4.99 fee

I'm sorry but you aren't very helpful Gregory. Yes the autoswitching is 4.99%. That's normal for a PPS pay structure. However for solo mining that is not. . . No one in their right mind pays 4.99% to mine on their own. Their help page states, "Pool fees for "solo" mode (2.99%) are lower because the variance is passed onto the miner, and because fewer transaction fees, exchange fees, and other business expenses are incurred." I don't want to have to put a ticket in on this as I can't actually tell if they are are charging 2.99 or 4.99% fees as I'm not given a specific breakdown of what is accredited to my account.

Is there an admin in here or something that might actually have an answer as to whether it is being charged the correct fee?

steve checks in every now and then, chris is more of a back end person, apple miner might be on soon to answer you, but im saying 9 chances out of 10, if thats what it says theyre charging you, its probably correct. try opening the details on a share that you found a block in to see what theyre subtracting from your block reward.

O_o, that's what the text from the first message is from. . . where it states the pool fee being charged is 4.99% but doesn't actually show any amounts because the block hasn't matured and this is why I am here asking this question. You are infuriating to talk to. :-/

I can confirm from a block found today that the pool fee is 2.99% for the solo coin, and 4.99% for the merge mined coins.
