L3+ randomly dropping from activity....

Post by iamjaypee2 » Sun Dec 24, 2017 11:14 pm

Hey guys,
Anyone else noticed the last few days their rigs randomly dropping offline according to the "Worker History" chart? I've also noticed a substantial reduction in earnings as well that coincided with this issue starting. I am running 6 L3+ on this pool and see each one dropping offline at least once per 24 hour period. There are no issues with my machines or my network. I've also verified that the machines run on other pools with no issues for 24 hour periods.

Has anyone else experienced this lately?

You said that "each one" drops off - is there a sequence in which they drop off, or is the same miner dropping off repeatedly? Also, do several rigs drop off at the same time?

Please verify for us, you are logging into all 6 L3+s and the PROHASHING.COM pool shows as DEAD?
Or are you logging into the website, clicking on earnings, hitting refresh, and seeing the miners pop in and out of active on the web interface?

Sorry guys Christmas got in the way of me being online to answer your questions...lol.

1. Steve you first..... No they each drop off randomly and for what appears to be around an hour or so per drop-off. Also I have only seen one instance of it happening to more than one unit at a time.
2. AppleMiner..... No none of those are the issue I am describing. I have noticed a significant drop in daily earnings that far outpaced the recent rise network hashrate. I started reviewing the "Activity Chart" on the dashboard every 24 hours to see if I can find any evidence of a network issue on my end. I've noticed that each one of my 6 miners is randomly dropping off according to that chart throughout each 24 hour period. Each instance lasts around 60 minutes (give or take a few minutes). I've been monitoring my network for the last 72 hours and have not seen any issues on my end with connectivity, latency, etc. Power supply no issue either.

For what it's worth, yesterday appeared to be a particularly bad day with multiple instances for a number of machines. Oddly though, I see that my earnings for today already far exceed where I normally am at this time of the morning? Related I wonder?

And what password settings are you using?

Are you static mining a coin with c= setting?
Im going to guess its a coin that blows up and locks up from the pool...AIB or some such coin?

If the miner is resetting, what firmware version are you using? the L3+s had issues and would randomly reboot all the time, a firmware back a few months solved this.

AppleMiner,
No my machines are not resetting.

URL = prohashing.com:3333#xnsub
Password = n=worker10 a=scrypt

I actually did notice issues when static mining specific coins so I scrapped doing that on this pool completely.

#XNSUB not needed here. We don't redirect the hashing power out to another pool that would need that parameter added to conenct in.
