having issues
Im both new to minning and new to prohashing. I love the pool and I love the concept. I only have one usb dualminer and can only do about 70 khs. When I start I will get about 5 shares and then its like some one hit the brakes and my hash rate will go down to 0 in the hash rate graph and I wont get another share for at least 30 mins then when I let it site for a day I might get 300-500 shares maybe but when I come back my miner is not hashing but my miner GUI still is scrolling through lines. Im not sure if its a setting or what but If any one has any idea how to fix this I would be in your debt. I have no problem when Im mining only LTC this kind of problem only happens on other altcoins and particularly here. I love this pool and honestly earn more here than straight LTC even with the difficulties. Im here to stay but if I can better hone my profitability then I would be happy to upgrade my hash rate.

Re: having issues
Hi,
70 kH/s is a very small miner, and while the pool isn't optimized for miners that are so small, I will try to help you as much as I can to tune your miner to get as much money as you can from it. The reason you see lots of shares initially is the work restart testing, which requests a few difficulty 16 shares then switches to a difficulty of 2048. I would recommend using "d=512" as your password, since that will tell our system to request from your miner the lowest difficulty shares that we accept. You won't see shares that often, maybe every few minutes, but remember that over longer periods of time, you are making the same amount of money as if you were submitting easier shares. If you late upgrade to a higher hashrate of > 1 MH/s, then the pool's default settings should work. Please let me know if I can be of any more help.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will give it a test. I don't have much money to invest in this hobby but in the neat future i will invest in another miner and will work up from there. Ill give that a try and get back to you thanks.
