Release this afternoon

Post by Steve Sokolowski » Sun Dec 17, 2017 12:16 pm

There will be a release this afternoon, as often occurs on Sunday afternoons. Today, we reduced the amount of live data traffic by about 80%, in an attempt to reduce the network connectivity issues.

There will be a mining server restart and possibly some disruption to live data afterward if a bug that did not appear in testing shows up.

Hi Steve, how are you doing? When you say "release" this afternoon, to what are you referring exactly?
Thanks.

No. We're simply issuing new code to improve the stability of the mining server. We usually do this on Sunday afternoons.

It's sort of disconcerting to see how blase you guys are about people not getting paid considering how recently Nicehash was hacked and the number of people that migrated here following that event.

We're following our payout terms as listed in the documentation, which state that payouts are issued during the next day after balances are tallied at midnight.
There is no set time for payouts, and they occurred on schedule yesterday. It is true that there was a bug that affected some customers that inserted invalid data into the table, but fortunately we were able to get it fixed and meet the payout schedule.
