Unusually high work restart delays
Noticed since last time i was booted, about 30 mins from time of this post, the work restart delays are unusually high. in past they have always been 1.000 and under. they are from 3.000s to as high as 40.000s and seem to be moving up and down with submitted shares. Is this something that will become common or is it just a bug????
thanks G

woo i wonder if this is to do with your miners summited shares,what rate of shares at what difficulty are you roughly getting

I think that the reason you're seeing this is because there are very few samples, given that you just reconnected. Once the miner has been connected for a longer period of time, there will be more work restart samples, and the number should converge on the actual work restart delay.

Re: Unusually high work restart delays
thats not been the case Steve. it not during restarts, it occurs all the time even after days of running. heres the norms
256=62.5 per hour lets say 63 RSD=.9xx
128=125 per hour
64=250
32=500
16=1000
the RSD with be close to .9xx plus or minus 5%
If any of the miners start picking up too many shares even with diff set at 256 for x11(which is max) server will throttle the miner with restart delays to slow down the accepted shares back to that norm. it does this for all diffs shown above. Does not matter how long it has been connected.
It will also throw high RSDs when the miner is submitting accepted shares below this norm above.
The point i was orginally making was some of the miners were pissing away a ton of hashing power for the server to keep us in that set norm. when everything is set up for PPS and miners are switching coin at a high rate and the RSD is higher than the time pool switches coins, How can it even get a share for the RSD.
I am like everybody else i want to make as much as i can and i know the pool is trying to be fair and Different from everybody else, But this issue seems to have gotten worse as the hash rates go up here. i dont sit around waiting to see the $$$$ signs rolling in. i do try my very best to optimize each miner to not only give me the best hash rates at a lower cost but i also want them working their butts off submitting as many viable shares as each one can.
I am sorry if other people do not take the time to optimize their miners. Me and the others that do should not get penalized for doing so.
But anyways investigate it if you want. you will see the same results as i have been getting.
Thanks G

penalized for to many shares per minute your saying
Re: Unusually high work restart delays
I can confirm that the coins' switch time is now very high in comparison to before "upgrades" ... I had steady 200-300 ms times before ...now they are more in 5-600 ms to more than a 1 sec... Nothing was changed from my side settings... Just observing the facts. Happy New 2018 ! Cheers c[]
