Re: New problem...
Were you then able to change it to prohashing site and get connected again?
Re: New problem...
its all fixed now, after re-reading prohash it says to leave the pw blank, must of been a new update since 3-4 days ago I had to put in the PW for it to work, prohash is now pool #2 for now:)
Re: New problem...
you can put d=131072 only that will also work and give you static diff.TheoD914 wrote:its all fixed now, after re-reading prohash it says to leave the pw blank, must of been a new update since 3-4 days ago I had to put in the PW for it to work, prohash is now pool #2 for now:)
Re: New problem...
so question if i were to want to change back to prohash even though it is the second pool is there anyway to do so or do i have to make it #1 pool? dog what does the d stand for and the 131072? What do you mean by static difference?
Thanks again everybody!

Re: New problem...
Putting anything in the the PW field is not necessary, and hasn't been necessary, so i'm not sure what you were putting in there before? If you were putting your password for the website in there, that may have been your issue.
As to the d= password, unless you want to test it out and try multiple different ones it's really not worth it. All that does it keep your miner at a specific difficulty, whereas if you leave it blank will dynamically change it. Some people say this gives them better profits, and all i'll say on that is this:
I continue to see people who like to tinker with things, later on complaining about them not getting the profits they think they should be at, whereas my time here i have not changed that at all, and i've either been at, or above the expected payout. Does this mean adding a d= into your password WON'T get your better profits, potentially? No, but from my perspective at the least, it's not needed.
But again, unless you want to solo mine, or have a static difficulty, there does not need to be anything in the password arguments, but if you are curious what different things do in the password arguments, there is this website that tells you each thing you can add in and what they do:

Re: New problem...
Theo!
So tonight I changed my setting, and clicked apply, and PH came up DEAD.
I waited 4 minutes, and it was still DEAD on my miner.
I did a reboot, it came back up and it was DEAD...DEAD...DEAD.
I got a drink came back after 8 mins it was FINALLY seeing the PH site as ALIVE and started to mine there.
At 6 min mark my miner still saw PH as DEAD, somewhere after 8 mins it saw it ALIVE and started to mine there.
That seems a really long time to take to reconnect after just 1 change on the miner.
I'm afraid to touch my settings or try to change anything again if it means that long before it starts to work again.
