Re: Payout Config Issue

I discovered that my settings had changed again last night, and I emailed a screenshot. I checked it this AM when I got up, and it was still good. I just checked it again, and I'd lost the link to CB, but I was still set to be paid in USD. I re-linked my CB account. This issue is kind of annoying, but mainly I'm curious as to what the buttery f*** is going on. I was joking when I mentioned dark forces at work, but maybe I only thought I was kidding.

And just now it removed the usd slider and replaced it with a btc slider. I've changed it back. It's kinda like a very slow game of whack-a-mole going on here.

The problem we're having with these Coinbase payouts is that we can't fully test this on the development server because Coinbase's policy is one account per user. At Cryptsy, we have two accounts (one for development), but because Coinbase only allows one account, testing is difficult.

As to this post, I think this is the same issue you E-Mailed about. When I made the change to correctly update the Coinbase access tokens, I neglected to grant the payout engine permission to change those tokens. That triggered a hacking failsafe that caused the automatic deletion of the Coinbase data from the database.

Now that I granted permissions to the table, I think that you should be all good. Unless there is another issue found tonight that requires us to make a change, we've proven that the existing payout code will now work tomorrow morning.

Excellent! I'll keep my fingers crossed, and let you know tomorrow if all goes well, or sooner if it doesn't. Thanks again!

It's done it again. I just checked, and the USD slide has been replaced by a BTC slide. Something odd happened earlier today. I checked the settings, and I saw that the link with CB had dropped again. ::sigh:: So I went to CB and revoked 7 or 8 instances of ProHashing access that have accrued over the last few days, just to tidy up a bit. When I got back to the settings page, the link was saying it was in fact fine, but a refresh updated it to be broken, which was the proper state by then. Does the code of the page load both options, and then check to see which is applicable? I refreshed the page a few times, but it was consistent, once I reinstated the link for real. Just now when I checked, it looked broken at first, but then it showed connected after a few seconds. The USD slider was really gone, though, so I've fixed that.

I wonder if everything is now working fine behind the scenes, but the website is displaying it incorrectly.

Just to be clear, you deleted all the links from the Coinbase end, and then it did or didn't display that there was a link here after all the Coinbase authorizations were gone?

I deleted all the links, then it displayed incorrectly (that the link was still in place) here until I reloaded the page, when it showed that the link was gone. Then I created a new link, which was displayed properly. I'd say that you're probably right, at least in regards to the link status. However, the usd slider turning into a btc slider didn't change back with a clearing of a cache. How about the next time it reverts to BTC, I let you know without fixing it, so
you can see what it's saying on the back end?

That would be great.

I don't think this bug will recur until at least tomorrow. I'm supposing that it has something to do with what happens after the dollar payouts execute. Thanks for sticking with this! I'll check the database in the morning after you are paid to see if anything is off.

Good morning. I just checked the settings page, and I saw that my connection to coinbase seemed to have been nixed overnight. When I reloaded the page, it was displaying properly. So it's almost certainly a front-end issue, like you said. A bit worrisome, but no big deal, at least not from my end. I'll keep an eye on the USD slider, and let you know if it changes itself back to BTC.

Thanks. Did you leave the page open overnight? I'm trying to reproduce the issue with little success.
