Re: The personal attacks on Gavin Andresen are reprehensible

I find it pretty disappointing that you treat the identity of Satoshi and a false "verification" as a non-issue. This entire post whitewashes this whole episode, with not the slightest bit of recognition of the significance of this. This does in fact reflect poorly upon Gavin's judgment. T...

Re: Responding to the introduction of selfish mining and block withholding

Absolutely agreed that there's not really a choice. This seems like the least-bad response to the block withholding attack for sure, and it's a brilliant defense which I'm surprised I haven't heard of anyone doing before. It's one of those "seems obvious in hindsight" advances. With the do...

Re: Responding to the introduction of selfish mining and block withholding

When the case above is detected, this coin actually becomes more valuable to mine because the discovery of the next block results in the status of the previous block being switched from orphaned to immature. Instead of mining the next block on top of the block that the network received earliest, we...

Re: BIP101 implementation to be made available for altcoins

Thank you! I'm not planning on having NYAN3 (the version that will be based on this) activate until early 2017 but I will have the code ready and built and tested before the end of this year. It will be really handy to have this already available, and I hope that other litecoin clonecoins will make ...

Re: Trolls, and why we support upgrading litecoin

Excellent post! I wish both prohashing and LTC the best of luck! Just a couple comments: First, we believe that the litecoin blocksize problem needs to be eliminated permanently to demonstrate that litecoin is the only network that has actually been able to do it. I believe Monero has an adaptive li...

Re: It's time to move on

Good luck! If LTC can make serious inroads on BTC's marketcap as a result, I think this would be a great thing for the Cryptocurrency market in general and help to show the long-term viability of the market routing around any lagging coins, even the original when necessary.

Re: Responses to the litecoin blocksize proposal shed light on bitcoin's deadlock

Kudos to you for attempting to reach out and rally the community. I'm skeptical that LTC will be the one to make this change but it's worth the attempt. As you said: It turns out that the real difference in this debate is between those who believe the networks should never be upgraded, and those wh...

Re: Litecoin may be the best chance for cryptocurrency

It's only the first-order effect. LTC has no plans to increase in capacity to meet demand. I wrote a piece in /r/cryptocurrency about zero fee transactions, and I went to see whether there was any clonecoin in the top 25 listings by marketcap on coinmarketcap, and as far as I could tell, while there...

Re: Prohashing's role in altcoin networks

Thanks! I like the way you guys operate. It's been a great support to Nyancoin. We're such a small portion of your total hash rate these days that I had no idea you were still getting such a huge proportion of the blocks. This explains where the majority of the network hash is. I'd been looking from...
